Local History Field Trips

We visited three Portland houses preserved to depict life across two centuries.  The Tate House was built in the 1750s,  Longfellow lived in his childhood home in the early 1800s, and the Victoria Mansion was built in the 1860s. The style and amenities of each home were quite different, demonstrating how life changed during this time period.
